When it comes to planning your trip, airport parking may be one of the last things you think about it. However, in the last few years, Atlanta airport parking has become increasingly expensive. Here is a guide to all your options for airport parking from Peachtree City and the Newnan areas.

What is the rate for parking at Atlanta International Airport?

Short-term parking at the airport

You will be charged $3 per hour to park in the ATL short-term lot. Parking in the lot that charges by the hour will be the most expensive option for long-term parking. This lot is normally used by those picking up or dropping off passengers.

Long-term parking

You can take advantage of covered parking at the Daily Parking. It will cost you $19 to park in the Daily Parking lot for an extended period of time.

There’s also an economy parking lot at the Atlanta airport. You will be charged $3.00 for each hour that you park in the Economy lot. They do have a price break for daily parking – a $14 cap daily to park in the Economy parking lot.

While you may think you are saving yourself time by parking here, keep in mind you will have to walk quite far from the time you de-plane until you arrive at your car. One suitcase and one carry-on can get awfully heavy. Not to mention, in past years, the airport has had super long lines to pay as you leave.

Off Airport Parking

These are lots sprinkled near the airport off of Camp Creek Parkway. Constant shuttles run back and forth between the airport and these lots and the driver will drop you off in front of your car. In recent years, they’ve become nearly as costly as parking at the airport if you opt not to pre-pay or book in advance. Also, there is an upcharge for drop off at the international terminal versus domestic.

Don’t park – use ride sharing to the Atlanta Airport

Sure, you can order a ride share half an hour before you need to leave your Peachtree City or Newnan home, but can you really count on them to be on time? Apps like Uber and Lyft are notorious for not being accurate about when they will pick you up, further pushing out your arrival. Do you really want to stress about making your flight? Not to mention, ride share pricing is very unpredictable and varies based on demand so if you live about 30 minutes from the airport you can expect to pay anywhere between $30 to $50 for your ride each way!

  • There are approximately 160 parking spots available in the cell phone lot at Atlanta Airport. You can use this when picking someone up so you don’t have to pay for parking. Just have them text or call you when they are walking outside, and you can swing by and pick them up.
