It’s almost that time of year when Atlantans are running around doing their Christmas shopping and making plans to host guests at their homes. Parking is at a premium at most shopping centers, making it potentially very stressful to park quickly and safely with everyone rushing around to get things checked off their long-to-do lists.

If you’ve brought your car to our Atlanta Audi service center to take care of your vehicle or SUV, you know how precise we are about caring for your Audi. Always abide by Lines in Parking Lots

As you may have noticed, parking lots around Decatur and the greater Atlanta area are getting tighter and vehicles seem to have gotten bigger. What happens if someone parks slightly over the space lines and crowds you? Are you doing this? Consider your car doors. You reduce the likelihood that someone may open their car door and bang it against yours if you park as centrally as possible in your parking space. Of course, you can also try to park further away and walk (it is good exercise after all), but it may not always be possible in crowded lots.

Back up Cautiously

Modern cars are more aesthetically beautiful than ever, but that sleek appearance also means that there can be blind spots. Audis are luxurious cars with high-quality backup cameras, be sure to use it! When it's time to leave, be sure to gently and slowly reverse out of your parking spot. Keep an eye out for other vehicles as parking lots are frequented by speedy driversGet a comprehensive picture of what's behind you by using your rearview mirror and rearview camera and keep an eye on your car's proximity sensors as well.

Be mindful of pedestrians in a mall parking lot

Would you be able to see a toddler who ran away from their mother? Thank goodness for backup cameras and safety sensors that come equipped on Audi vehicles. But it is still a good idea to exercise caution when backing out of your parking spot as toddlers can get away from their moms in a hurry or you may have a blind spot that someone is placed perfectly in. Keep an eye out for people riding bicycles, strolling along the sidewalk, or having fun in the street as you back out of your driveway.

Don't Speed through a parking lot

As you drive through the parking lot, be mindful of your speed. To prevent accidents, go slowly. People frequently back out of parking spots too quickly and with the false mindset that "I have the right-of-way," Go cautiously and slowly to prevent an accident in the parking lot.

Remember, parking etiquette is not just about following rules but also about respecting others on the road. Audi South Atlanta is committed to providing you with not only top-of-the-line vehicles but also valuable information to help you become a better, more responsible driver. Embrace these tips, utilize your Audi's safety features, and park with confidence and care.
